Yorkshire-born potter Pat Kaye creates a brand new body of work on the subject of the domestic chicken and other animals. Her first solo exhibition in 25-years will include creative installations, sculpture, earthenware, plates, egg cups, bowls and ceramic buttons. Pat’s show is part of the 2019 Holmfirth Art Week Fringe
About Pat Kaye
Pat studied Painting and Ceramics at the Huddersfield School of Art before becoming an art and pottery teacher at Royds Hall Grammar School, Halifax School of Art and Huddersfield College.
In 1965 she launched her own pottery workshop in Halifax, and in 1979 moved to Holywell Green to convert an old derelict barn into the Throstle Nest Pottery and Gallery, which she ran successfully for 30-years before retiring to north Wales in 2008.
‘Gallus Domesticus’ at the Weavers Factory marks Pat’s return to the North West of England and her first solo exhibition in 25-years.
